Deonte Banks named NFC defensive player of the week

Giants cornerback Deonte Banks put an exclamation point on the Giants’ victory over the Cardinals with a 98-yard pick-six as time expired.

He’s now been named NFC defensive player of the week.

Banks had four total tackles with four passes defended and his interception returned for a touchdown.

Banks is the first Giants cornerback to be named defensive player of the week since 2019.

The Giants will be on the road to face the Commanders in Week 5.
