Kody Steele Brutally Knocks Out Noah Gugnon, Calls for $100K Bonus

Kody Steele came to UFC 333 looking to make a statement, and Noah Gugnon unfortunately volunteered to be the exclamation point.

Steele delivered a vicious knockout Saturday night, putting Gugnon away with a devastating right hand after a wild exchange. Both fighters had their moments, but Steele found his opening and made damn sure Gugnon wouldn’t get another one.

With a highlight-reel finish in his back pocket, Steele wasted little time calling for a $100,000 performance bonus. After that knockout, it’s hard to blame him.

Round 1 – The two began feeling each other out before Gugnon fired a leg kick that prompted an unsuccessful takedown attempt from Steele. Steele answered with a leg kick before charging in for another takedown, but Gugnon wasn’t having it. Gugnon continued chopping away at Steele’s legs while mixing in combinations upstairs.

Steele threw a high kick, lost his balance, and hit the canvas before quickly popping back up. Gugnon rushed forward with punches against Steele’s guard before firing a head kick that was blocked. Steele circled out of danger, found a better angle, and unloaded a nasty combination that rocked Gugnon.

Gugnon answered with a stiff jab, but Steele wasn’t interested in sticking around for another exchange. Still feeling the damage, Steele shot for a takedown and finally managed to put Gugnon on the canvas. Gugnon scrambled back to his feet, landed some damage against the fence, and eventually broke free.

Both fighters went right back to trading heavy leather, with neither man interested in backing down.

That proved to be a terrible decision for Gugnon.

Steele uncorked a vicious right hand that put Gugnon away and brought the fight to a violent end.

Kody Steele delivered a highlight-reel knockout on a massive stage and immediately called for a $100,000 bonus.
